Get to know us

Founded in 2023 by Jennifer Hewison and Ashley Campbell, Hutch Damage Prevention & Verification Ltd. is a 100% Indigenous- and women-owned company based in Alberta. We specialize in utility line locating and damage prevention services, combining safety, accuracy, and reliability to protect people, property, and infrastructure.

Our experienced team handles private utility locates and consortium locates with precision, and we are proud to be both an Alternate Locate Service Provider and SECOR Certified. From residential to commercial projects, Hutch ensures every excavation is safe and every locate is accurate.

Since day one, we’ve worked with homeowners, contractors, municipalities, and telecom companies across Western Canada. We go beyond standard locating—verifying results, preventing damage before it happens, and keeping all stakeholders informed.

With 14 years of locating experience, Jennifer brings in-depth technical knowledge and industry insight. Ashley’s 22 years of experience as a locator and pipeline representative add operational expertise and a strong understanding of project needs.

At Hutch, our mission is simple: support safe digging and construction through responsive service, meticulous work, and proactive damage prevention. We take pride in every mark we make and every delay we help you avoid.
